Birthcontrol Pill VS Herbal treatment?

by Zoe
(NJ, USA)

Hi,As much as I want to try conceive naturally, I am reluctant to do so due to my severe endometriosis history. (I only have 1 tube also). I am o Birth control pill to suppress Endo, but if I am on, I can't get pregnant. If I go off from the pill and switch to herbal treatment such as pill, liquid or tea form of herb (like Vitex, Cramp Bark etc), can it suppress as much as birth control pill? I'm scared to go off from the pill and get my endometriosis worse. Please advise..

Thank you very much!

Herbal Treatment for Endometriosis
by: Maria Gioia Atzori

Synthetic hormones work on the body differently than herbal remedies. Herbal remedies are milder in their action and take longer to act as a result. They also mimic the body own natural healing response. They can be very effective but you need to make life style changes as well. Read my article on endometriosis diet.

The choice is yours and you need to follow a treatment that you are comfortable with. You could try herbal remedies for a couple of months and see how your body responds. Some women respond better to herbal remedies than birth control pill because these type of treatments are more natural.
