Central Hypogonadism And Vitex
I have central hypogonadism and my period stopped at 27.
As you told me before, with homeopathic medicine is possible to stimulate the pituitary gland to produce FSH and LH, which will then stimulate the ovaries to produce estrogen and progesterone during the monthly cycle.
Therefore, I have seen a homeopath and I am planning to start taking homeopathic remedies.
Can I use agnus castus at the same time in order to to stimulate the pituitary gland to produce LH hormone, which stimulates the ovaries in producing progesterone? Or it can not be combined with the treatment?
How many months you think should I wait in order to see some results?
I want to mention here that i already have a son, 16 months old. in order to get pregnant i had hormones therapies (4 times) in order to succeed and it was quite difficult with all these hormones injections in my body.
So, I am hoping to get my cycle back in order to get pregnant again, without any help.
I am looking forward for your advice,
You can take Vitex in conjunction with homeopathic remedies, but most homeopathic practitioners prefer not to recommend this to their patients, because if you decide to introduce herbal medicine, you will not know what is actually working.
This makes the job of the homeopath difficult when it comes to adjusting your dosage and your remedy sequence.
My advice is to follow your homeopathic practitioner's advise for 2-3 cycles. During this time, make sure to chart your temperature to see if and when you are ovulating. If you do see improvement in your cycle and you do have a clear temperature shift at ovulation with lots of egg white cervical mucus, you are on the right rack with homeopathy and will not need Vitex.
If within 3 months you do not see any improvements, talk to your homeopath about the possibility of introducing Vitex.
Vitex can be taken as an herb but also in homeopathic form, so your homeopath will be able to decide at that point what is best for you.
