DIM and B6 Fertility
I've been taking 50 mg DIM for 8 weeks, along with a B complex. (50 mg of B6 in it).
I think that I may now be pregnant, however I have another week to go until I can take a test.
Do I continue taking the DIM?
How about the B complex?
Do I take them into the first trimester?
Thank you for you help. Answer:
You can continue taking DIM until you have a positive pregnancy test. Once you know you are pregnant you should discontinue taking DIM. Even though DIM is considered safe, there are no studies done on pregnant women and DIM’s safety during pregnancy has not been established.
Dim is present in all cruciferous vegetable and the small amount of DIM produced by the body after consuming cruciferous vegetables is considered safe during pregnancy. So, you can continue to eat your broccoli, cauliflowers, Brussels sprouts, etc.
Vitamin B complex 50 is safe to take during pregnancy.
