Donor Sperm Age
Iam 26 years old. My blood group is B+. I have decided to go for IUI with donor sperm.
I want to know: older sperm or younger sperm, whichis is more suitable for me and why? Answer:
Your doctor and the staff at the fertility clinic will be better suited to answer this question as it applies to your case, but in general the sperm quality should is analysed for suitability.
The best type of sperm should be highly motile and high in count. The age in sperm is relative, what counts is the life style habits of the sperm donor. Someone who eats helathy avoid smoking and drinking alcohol, has no family history of obesity or other diseases is a most suitable sperm donor.
Blood type should be something you pay attention to when you're searching for a sperm donor if you want your child’s blood type to match your own or your partner's.
Since you are Rh positive you don’t have to worry about the blood type so much. If a Rh-negative woman conceives an Rh-positive child certain immunological problems can occur during conception and while pregnant.
