Homeopathy for Fertility

Hi Brenda,

Taking homeopathic remedies while breastfeeding is very safe for both mother and child even if you are planning another pregnancy.

The remedy that is selected should be a remedy that fits both mother and child. This type of homeopathic treatment is called classical homeopathy and the characteristics of both mother and child are taken into consideration when selecting the most suitable remedy. This type of treatment is also very effecting in helping a woman conceive.

Classical homeopathy treats the whole person mind and body. When selecting the remedy it is important make sure that the remedy takes into consideration not only the physical symptoms but also the mental and emotional symptoms.

Depending on what the fertility issues are (you mentioned polyps) it should be possible to select a remedy that has an affinity for a particular organ, tissue or disease as well.

It is always a good idea to start the case by administering a remedy that fits the whole picture at the mental, emotional and physical level.

Calcarea carbonica, Phosphorus , Ignatia, Sepia, Pulsatilla, and Platina are good remedies that are commonly prescribed to help a woman get pregnant.

These remedies can be given in a potency of either 6CH or 30CH.

Other more specific remedies that have an affinity for the uterus are given if polyps are the major problem of infertility. They are: erigeron, ustilago, thlaspi, secale, fraxinus, salix, helonias, etc.

These remedies are best given in low potency like 3X, 6x, or 12x.

For more information read my article on homeopathic remedies to restore fertility.

Also tissue salts calc fluor and calc phos are great for women who are breastfeeding and trying to fall pregnant at the same time because they help the body assimilate important nutrients.

For more information read my article on twelve tissue salts for fertility.

It is always a good idea to seek advice from an expert homeopathic practitioner that can take your specific case and help you and support along the way.

As far as weaning your baby it is really up to you. Some babies do not like to continue nursing once the mother gets pregnant. Others continue up to the fourth month and then decide to stop because the milk tastes different at that stage. Whatever you decide, make sure you follow a very healthy diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetable. Also make sure to take additional vitamins and minerals.

All the best,
