Getting Pregnant At 46 With Irregular Periods
by Cat McDonald
I would like to know if any of the fertility kits could help me. I'm 46 have never smoked, never drank, and after my childhood never taken any medication, including birth control. I'm a scientist and am also very cautious about toxins, eating mostly organic food and taking multivitamins and fish oil. I feel very healthy except within the last year my periods have been irregular and skipping.
Everyone tells me I'm in menopause and certainly have peri-menopause but I actually feel better than when I was younger and my periods, when they come feel better too, no cramping, no clots, healthy looking blood, etc.
I'm trying to conceive in this year. I'm fortunate that I finally met my life partner and didn't expect that it was to take so long. Are there any things I can do or take to possibly extend my fertility?
Would fasting help? Acupuncture?
Thank you!Getting Pregnant during Perimenopause Naturally
At 46 with irregular periods you can still get pregnant. The important question is do you know if and when you are ovulating? If you do ovulate and know when, you can get pregnant at 46. My friend last year at 46 gave birth to a healthy little girl. So, it can be done!
To get pregnant you need to ovulate and make healthy eggs, you also need fertile cervical mucus around ovulation. Your husband needs produce lots of healthy sperm. And of course, you need to target love making in such a way that you will be successful.
The best way to do this is by doing fertility charting. If you really want to achieve conception fast, I would recommend using Ovacue
The fertility kits, that I meantion on this site are from The Natural Fertility Shop and can help you get pregnant faster in many ways. They are specifically designed for women who are trying to achieve conception naturally.
They will help you in a three step approach consisting of cleansing, nourishing and supporting.
Cleansing helps you eliminate excess hormonal disruptors chemicals present in your life. This helps your
endocrine system create a more balanced menstrual cycle. The Fertility Cleanse Kit is the first step for every woman who wants to conceive.
We all have toxins that need to be eliminated, even if we follow a healthy life style because toxins are present in our environment and nobody can completely avoid them.
The reason why this kit is very useful is because it not only supports the cleansing of the liver, but also the cleansing of the uterus. This is so important in many women who have irregular periods as they may not completely empty the content of the uterus each month due to hormonal weakness. This causes stagnant old blood to remain within the uterus causing a potential toxic environment for the developing foetus and increasing the risk of miscarriage.
Nourish your body with fertility superfoods. Taking specific supplements will help make sure the ovaries can produce healthy eggs and ovulate more regularly every month. The OvaWise Kit is ideal for women who are trying to conceive and might experience poor ovulatory cycles. The quality of your eggs is very important and when a woman is over 40 her eggs tend to need additional anti-oxidants and the ovaries need additional support to continue to ovulate each month.
Support and extend your fertility with self-massage. This technique helps bring more fresh oxygen rich blood to the reproductive organs in order to increase your chances of conceiving with self-fertility massage. This type of massage is so easy to do, yet very powerful because it teaches you the most effective techniques for fertility by using massage, acupressure, reflexology and castor Oil therapy.
The above Kits
are easy to use and follow at home. All the women who have used them notice a significant difference in their reproductive health, reporting more regular periods, less menstrual cramping, increased fertile mucus production, less fertility problems, etc.
Other holistic therapies like acupuncture and homeopathy can also help. I would not recommend fasting as this can put your body in a state of nutrient deficiency not recommended before conception, but definitely cleansing!
