I am 30 and we're trying to have a baby for almost five years but not on regular basis since we're not always together..the longest time we're together was 1 month since the wedding because he's working on different country. I am taking Folic Acid, Vitamin E and Vitamin C for supplement. Anymore suggestions? I have regular menses lasting for three days. I am confuse when I am really ovulating. I am taking slimming tea also. We're both on average weight. Please help us.

Determing Your Fertile Window
by: Maria Gioia Atzori

I assume that you and your husband have done some fertility testing to make sure there are no underling conditions. This is very important because if you do not see each other often you need to know that you can actually conceive.

I would definitely recommend fertility vitamins for both. This will stimulate healthy ovulation in you and healthy sperm production in your husband. If you make healthy eggs and he make healthy sperm then you are on the right track.

The next step would be to chart your cycle. This is very important to determine your fertile window. If you know that you are about to ovulate you can make the best of the time you have together.

You can do the temperature and cervical mucus charting as described in my article on fertility charting. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask me another question, I will be happy to assist you.

You can also use ovulation sticks, you can purchase these at your local pharmacy. They measure the hormone LH, which surges 48 hours before ovulation.

If you need more time to plan ovulation, I would recommend Ovacue fertility monitor. This measures the change in hormonal levels in your saliva and can detect wen you are about tho ovulate 5 days before ovulation. This is very important when planning to conceive on a tight schedule. The sperms can leave up to 5 days in the female reproductive tract as long as she has fertile mucus, which looks like egg white and is stretchy and transparent. This type of mucus always accompanies the temperature shift indicating ovulation is imminent. The key is to have sex the 24-48 hours before the temperature shift.
I hope this helps you.

Fertility Blessings!
