Screening During Pregnancy

Hi Maria, I am 15 weeks pregnant, I did a pap test in 12 weeks, my Doctor said that everything is normal, nothing to worry. Should I do any more screening tests? I am scared to do invasive tests if it will hurt my baby.
Please, help me Maria, thanks a lot. I am 36 years old having a daughter of 12 years old.

If you Doctor told you that everything is fine, then I think you should relax. Everything will be just fine. You need to have all the regular blood tests and ultrasound of regular prenatal visits, that all that will be required. Follow your Doctor's advice.

Another pap test will not be required until after the pregnancy and postpartum. This will be done at your regular yearly check up.

During pregnancy, it is best to avoid invasive tests unless necessary.
