I have always been easy to get pregnant, until now. I'm 41& me and my husband decided to try one more time but it's been extreemely difficult. I just found out I have 2 small fibroids inside the uterus and my husband has a large hernia in his testicles. He's afraid to have it removed. Could these factors in our in inability to conceive? And. Is one worse than the other?

Getting Pregnant with Fibroids
by: Maria Gioia Atzori

Many women do get pregnant in their early 40s and carry healthy pregnancy to term. It is also true that it will take longer to get pregnant if there are any gynecologial issues. Small fibroids may not be a problem depending where they are located in the uterus.

Your doctor should be able to provide this information.

Fibroids that change the shape of the uterine cavity are called submucous or are inside the cavity itself decrease fertility and prevent implantation.

Other types of fibroids do not decrease fertility. These are those that are within the wall of the uterus and do not change the shape of the cavity. Those that protrude outside the uterine wall, called subserosal fibroids, also do not decrease fertility. Removal of these types of fibroids does not increase fertility and natural treatments are idicated.

In order to increase your chnages of getting pregnant with small fibroids, there are natural therapies that can help increase the chances of pregnancy when suffering from uterine fibroids.

Hernia and Male Fertility
by: Maria Gioia Atzori

As far as hernia and fertility is concerned, there are certainly different degrees of severity. For an inguinal hernia to descend into the scrotum it takes times and many men do not consider the possible effects on their fertility.

Inguino-scrotal hernias can get impacted or strangulated leading to a medical emergency. When this happens they disturb the blood flow to the testicles causing a drecreased sperm production.

This only happens on the side where the affected tsticle is present. The other testicles should be fine.

Your doctor will assess the severity and recommend surgery accordingly.

If surgery is necessary, sperm production will return to normal levels within time.

Many alternative pratitioner recommend herbal medicine, homeopathic remedies, acupuncture and life style changes like avoid wearing tight panties and very hot temperatures like saunas.

Some hernias can cause low sperm count, which can be improved by taking fertility vitamins like FertilAid that stimulates sperm count, quality and sperm motility. Also, herbal remedies like Fertile XY can help greately in this situation because they support sperm production, seminal emissions and healthy erections.

All the best!
