Uterus lining and acupuncture points
by Eithne
Answer: In order to determine the best points to inprove uterine lining it is important to diagnose the condition that is behind uterine lining problems. Since I do not know the reason for this, I assume that it is for improving blood flow and blood circulation to the uterus in order to favour embryo implantation. Acupuncure points are selected based on the patient's constitution and specific needs. If there is Spleen Qi deficiency, it is important to bring heat to the uterus, if the uterine problems are due to Qi and blood stasis, it is important to help blood flow through the uterus, liver and kidneys. The following are the most important acupuncture points used to treat female uterine disorders, but there are many more that the acupuncturist will select based on each individual case and needs. Sp6 is a commonly used point. This point crosses the spleen, kidney and liver meridians and it is used to treat many conditions associated with digestive, gynecological and emotional imbalances. Ren3 (Conception Vessel 3) is another point used to treat endometritis, infertility, uterine disorders, male impotence, urinary tract problems. Liv5 treats stagnant liver Qi, clears damp-heat from the bladder, uterus and genitals. It is used for inflammation of the uterine lining. Acupuncture by itself may not be sufficient. Herbal remedies like EndoEx can be used to complement the effectiveness of acupuncture points in treating detrimental lining problems like endometriosis. It contains herbal remedies, like Vitex, Chinese Yam, Angelica, Milk Thistle and viburnum to support the endometrium naturally. Many Blessings!
