Blockage Of The Epididymus
by: Maria Gioia Atzori

Vaso-epididymal anastomosis operation is carried out to relief obstructive azoospermia causing nil sperm. When spermatogenesis is normal, it is possible to re-establish fertility by removing the block in the epididymus which prevents the sperm from being released into the semen.

This type of operation can be successful in approximately 50% of the cases. However, even after successful operations, the postoperative sperm counts needs to be 20 million/ml in order to be able to achieve conception. Most cases have a very high number of non viable sperm. It can take up to one year to see improvement.

Studies have shown that obstructive azoospermia can be related to infections responsible for the obstructive lesions. If this is the case, scar tissue is the cause of the block as a result of inflammation cause by the infection. Not all men are aware of this.

A natural approach to obstructive azoospermia using homeopathic remedies is possible. Please, read the answer to this question to learn more about which remedies are most likely used to treat obstructive azoospermia.

The best remedies to dissolve scar tissue are
Thiosinaminum 6X ans Silica 6X. They are known to dissolve scar tissue in narrow tubes like the epididymus, Fallopian tubes and Eustachian tubes.

These remedies work well over a period of a couple of months when taken daily. Bellis perennis 30CH and Arnica montana 30 CH can help heal from the surgery as well as calendula cream local applications. These remedies are often recommended by homeopaths for 2-6 weeks post operation.

It is very important to consult with a trained homeopath that can review your case and medical information and advise a more specific course of treatment.

It is also important to work on nutrition and vitamin and mineral supplementation to boost sperm count and sperm motility.
