Vitamins To Get Pregnant: Are They Necessary?

I am 27 years old and I have been trying to get pregnant for one year with no results. I have a pretty good diet and I exercise 3 times a week. I love my job and I do not have a stressful life. My husband is 30 and we are crazy about organic food and we only eat out once or twice a week. We do not drink alcohol other than the occasional glass of wine and we never smoked. We like to hike and we do it in the weekends.
My question is, do we need to take fertility vitamins to get pregnant even if our diet is pretty healthy?

by: Maria Gioia Atzori

The short answer to your question is, Yes!
Many couple who follow a healthy life style still need to supplement with fertility vitamins in order to increase the quality of the eggs and sperm. Healthy eggs and sperm make healthy babies. Fertility vitamins are especially important for women who once pregnant need more important nutrients to support a healthy pregnancy and prevent deficiencies in the baby.

Also, high levels of smog and the presence of enviromental toxins do increase the need of anti-oxidants necessary to prevent genetic mutation and keep the genetic material within the egg and sperm intact.
