I am 28 and my partner 29 we have 2 kids now but want 1 more kid. All up before the ectopic pregnancy we had 10 miscarriages.

During the ectopic I had my left tube removed. I still have my right. Ever since I have been trying for a baby it’s really stressing for me out as o keep trying and it is still not working.

I had scans done and have no tube blocked everything is good. I had tests done for me and my partner all came back good so I really don’t know what else I can do.

I’ll try anything to get a baby can you please help me?

Hi Lisa,

10 miscarriages and one ectopic pregnancy is something that may need to be looked at further.

Recurrent spontaneous abortion is defined as three or more consecutive pregnancy losses prior to the 20th week of gestation.

It is not known what cause recurrent loss of pregnancy as many factors may be involved. This also causes problems in being able to properly diagnose each individual situation.

This is a list of possible causes of recurrent miscarriage:

1. Genetic problems

2. Anatomical problems

3. Endocrine disorders

4. Placental anomalies

5. Hormonal problems

6. Infection and inflammation

7. Poor life style habits from smoking and alcohol consumption

8. Toxicity from exposure to environmental factors

9. Psychological trauma and stressful life style

10. Blood coagulation disorders

11. Autoimmunity or impaired immune response

If all the above factors have been investigated (Arch Gynecol Obstet (2005) 272: 95–108) and everything came back normal, consider beginning from your diet and life style.

What you eat and what your body needs are often not the same think. What you plan your meals think about what your body really needs in order to support a healthy baby to grow and develop.

Your Diet

To get started, make sure to follow the guidelines of the fertility diet.

A lack of important vitamins, anti-oxidants and minerals can cause poor fertility and recurrent miscarriage. Consider taking a good prenatal vitamin in order to prevent any nutritional deficiency.

Cleanse Your Body From Toxins

Toxicity caused by poor life style habits, pollution in food and water can be a major cause of infertility and increased risk of miscarriage.

It is very important that couples who are preparing form pregnancy follow a fertility cleanse for at least 1-2 months before conception.

not try to conceive while doing a cleanse as the toxins released by the body may effect embryo development.

Supprt Your Body

After cleansing the next step is to continue supporting the body in making healthy eggs and sperm with nutrients and herbal remedies that support the hormones and prevent inflammation to the uterus. “If inflammation becomes too excessive it might cause pregnancy complications such as fetal resorption/miscarriage.” (Seminars in Fetal & Neonatal Medicine (2006) 11(5): 302-308).

After following the fertility cleanse for two months follow the protocol in the pregnancy preparation kit, which contains all the necessary nutrients to support healthy conception:

1. Multivitamins to prevent mineral and vitamin deficiency.

Folic Acid

Folic acids is known to prevent spina bifida. In women who experience recurrent miscarriage folic acid and vitamin Bs help decrease high levels of homocysteine. High levels of homocysteine have been found in women who experience recurrent miscarriages.

Natural Vitamin E

Natural Vitamin E helps thin the blood and preventing blood clots.

Zinc deficiency can cause chromosome damage in male and female partners. Chromosomal abnormalities lead to an increased risk of miscarriage. Zinc is necessary for men and women.

In men zinc helps maintain healthy sperm morphology and in women zinc supports the immune system helps cell division and works and anti-oxidant to support healthy eggs. Adequate levels of zinc are necessary at the time of conception to support a healthy pregnancy and prevent a miscarriage.

Research studies have revealed that woman who miscarry have low levels of selenium in their blood. Selenium supplementation is important because selenium has antioxidant properties to maintain integrity of the genetic material (DNA) of eggs and sperm.

2. Pregnancy preparation herbal blend to support hormonal balance and promote healthy cycles.

3. Essential fatty acids (EFAs) to support the immune system and prevent miscarriages. EFAs support the production of prostaglandins which play an important role in reducing abnormal blood clotting. EFAs are safe and should be continued during pregnancy to support brain development in baby.

Male Partner And Miscarriage

The male partner also plays an important role in fertility. Making sure the sperm are healthy is very important in preventing miscarriage as defective sperm can be the cause of habitual miscarriage.

Men who want to improve the quality of their sperm should follow the male fertility cleanse for one month at least and then continue with the Male Factor Formula Kit up until conception.

Fertility Blessings!
