How To Apply Acupressure To Increase Your Fertility

In this issue of my newsletter I would like to talk about acupressure for fertility. Acupressure is a branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine that has been proven successful in the treatment of infertility for many years.

According to Chinese medicine, when the flow of the body's vital force or Qi is blocked, disease and symptoms will arise. By unblocking stagnant Qi through acupressure, it is possible to relief symptoms and treat diseases.

In traditional medicine, this energy that flows in and out the body organs also follows specific pathways called meridians. Most of the principal meridians are named after the major body organs through which they pass. For example, the conception vessel runs up the middle of the body and has important acupressure points that when stimulated increase fertility.

"Research has shown how the stimulation of specific acupressure points can be used to relieve the symptoms of painful menses, PMS, irregular cycles, hormonal imbalance, fibroids, endometriosis, and pregnancy."

The meridians associated with fertility and reproduction are the liver, the kidneys, and the spleen.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, healthy blood flow to the reproductive organs is considered very important. Acupressure can be used to "build" the blood, stimulate ovulation and encourage implantation.

Acupressure can be very useful to all those women who are trying to conceive either naturally or through IVF treatments.
