Treating Premature Ovarian Failure Naturally

Premature Ovarian Failure (POF) is the main cause of infertility in women under 40 where conventional medicine has no cure.

Fortunately there are many things you can do naturally to prevent premature ovarian failure and get pregnant even if you had been diagnosed with poor egg quality due to follicles depletion.

It is important to understand that natural solutions do no perform miracles; they simply support the body's natural reproductive functions.

he female reproductive organs are programmed to rest at menopause; this process is natural and cannot be slowed down. What you can do is prevent your ovaries from prematurely losing their natural reproductive function.

What Are the Symptoms of Premature Ovarian failure?

The following symptoms are typically experienced by women who have premature ovarian failure. They are early menopause symptoms. Even if not all women do have these symptoms, they can still present poor ovarian function.

  • Inability to conceive

  • Irregular periods

  • Absent periods

  • Vaginal dryness

  • Hot flashes

What Causes Premature Ovarian Failure?

When your follicles fail to respond to hormonal stimulation during the menstrual cycle, you have follicle dysfunction disease causing premature ovarian failure.

This type of problem often occurs in women who have an autoimmune condition where the immune system attacks the ovarian tissue causing damage to the follicles that contain the eggs.

As a result the follicles do not respond to hormonal stimulation by the pituitary gland. It is not known what triggers this auto-immune response.

Auto-Immune Premature Ovarian Failure

The mechanisms of this type of conditions are unknown, but it has been determined that women who already suffer from an auto-immune condition are at higher risk of developing auto-immune premature ovarian failure. It is simple to diagnose this condition as women will present ovarian antibodies.

Treatment for Auto-immune Premature Ovarian Failure

It is often required a combination of hormone replacement therapy and immune suppressive drugs. Treatment involves replacing the hormones that stimulate ovarian follicles to grow.

The rate of success is low and some practitioners are concerned about the side effects of immune suppressive therapy.

In alternative medicine it is possible to utilize natural progesterone cream as a form of natural hormone replacement therapy to support ovarian function in conjunction with herbal remedies and enzymatic therapy to support the immune system.

Studies in the field of enzymatic therapy have been very promising helping women with autoimmune infertility.

Toxin-Induced Ovarian Failure

Toxins are the main cause of infertility in women because toxins can damage the ovarian tissue. There are different types of toxins and some can be removed by the body through cleansing while others cannot.

Chemotherapy and radiation therapy treatments are the most common causes of toxin-induced ovarian failure. These therapies may damage the genetic material in the eggs and there is little you can do to revert this problem. In all these cases IVF with egg donor is recommended.

Other toxins such as drugs, environmental pollutants, cigarette smoke, and pesticides impair ovarian failure by supressing ovulation. In many of these cases, doing a fertility cleanse can restore balance.

Each day you are in contact with thousands of harmful substances that can potentially affect your endocrine system and the quality of your eggs. Your diet should be as wholesome as possible in order to provide only the best nutrients to your body.

Avoid foods that contain pesticides, preservatives, additives, hormones and antibiotics.

Do not drink tap water because it can contain all of the above

Avoid handling toxic chemicals at work and at home.

Avoid toxins in your makeup, creams, and personal care products.

Use only 100% organic cotton tampons

Diagnosing Premature Ovarian Failure

If your doctor suspects premature ovarian failure, you will have your estrogen and FSH levels tested. High levels of estrogen and high levels of Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) indicate that your ovaries are unable to respond to the FSH signal.

At this point your doctor will request an ultrasound that will look at the size of the ovaries and the number and size of follicles.

Recently, many doctors are also recommending the Anti-Mullerian Hormone blood Test.

This test is very useful in measuring ovarian health because it detects the presence of Mullerian Inhibiting Substance, which is produced directly by the follicles.

The lower your AMH levels, the lower the number of antral follicles remaining in your ovaries. If you have been diagnosed with low levels of AMH, you have few follicles left which will most likely produce immature eggs.

What Does a Premature Ovarian Failure Diagnose Mean?

What Does a Premature Ovarian Failure Diagnose Mean?

It simply means that your ability to make good viable eggs is very low. It does not mean that you will not be able to conceive naturally, but it certainly means that it will be very difficult for you.

Most fertility specialists will tell you that you will not be able to get pregnant, but this is not the case for all women.

So, you need to clearly understand your diagnosis. Many factors can influence the outcome.

Preventing Premature Ovarian Failure with Natural Remedies

Natural remedies cannot change your genetic makeup, but can improve the environment of your eggs by nourishing your ovarian tissues.

L-Arginine is an essential amino acid that supports healthy circulation to the reproductive organs.

Antioxidants fight the damaging effects of free-radicles on your tissues. They protect the DNA of your cells by maintaining DNA integrity and preventing genetic mutations.

Maca is known to nourish the entire endocrine system. It supports the function of the afrenal glands, the thyroid gland and the ovaries. Maca supports the production of progesterone and estrogen maintaining them in balance.

Royal Jelly

Royal Jelly is the food prepared by the worker bee for the queen bee. The queen bee only eats Royal Jelly and her job is to lay eggs. Royal Jelly is a nutrient that may help to support healthy eggs.

Vitex agnus castus is an herbal remedy extensively studies by both alternative and conventional medicine in Europe for its properties on promoting fertility. Scientific studies have shown how Vitex supports hormonal balance in the body by having an effect on the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis.

Vitex is effective in treating delayed ovulation due to high levels of estrogen and low progesterone by supporting the life of the corpus luteum.

Self Fertility Massage

Self-fertility massage is very useful to prevent premature ovarian failure because it increases blood flow to the ovaries. It also helps you relax and eliminate toxins.

If you are concerned about premature ovarian failure consider doing the OvaWise Kit protocol for a minimum of 3-4 months. This kit contains all the natural remedies your body needs to support healthy ovarian function.

Fertility Blessings!
